More Lori Dorman Photo's

Pregnancy Photo Shoot

I thought it would be fun to have professional photos taken of my pregnancy.  Pregnancy to me has been a precious and beautiful time in my life.  I am cherishing every moment because I know being pregnant only happens a finite number of times in any women's life.

Michael and I wanted a very "intimate" setting.  So, for this reason I am not able to post all of the pictures except for a few that did not show too much ;)

The photo's were done by an amazing children & pregnancy photographer Lori Dorman in Los Angeles.

Enjoy!

I promised to post the pictures of Isabella's shower almost a month ago, opps ;)

So, the shower turned out wonderfully thanks to my dear friend Desiree and other family and friends it was perfect!

It took place in Newport Coast, and there was a turn out of almost 45 women.  My sister Jessica, who is a photographer in training took over 400 pictures of the days events.  Here's a few of my favorites...

more 3/D fun

one more for fun!

3D Short Clips of Isabella Swan

A few weeks ago Michael & I got 3/D pictures of baby Isabella.  It's amazing what can be done with technology now a days.  I especially loved showing these mini clips to my grandparents, they were in awe of how much detail you could see while the baby is still in the womb.  They reminded me that when they were pregnant they did not even have 2D ultrasounds done,  let alone 3D.  And gender?!  Well, that was not discovered until you gave birth!!!  Talk about a surprise.  Here is Isabella Swan at 30 weeks.  I enjoyed watching her so much that I think I may go back in a few weeks.
So far, we think she has Michael's nose, my eyebrow line, my mom's cheeks, and my lips!!! She's absolutely beautiful. Well, I'm partial of course ;)
Enjoy

I'm becoming a Yogi

As I'm progressing into my 3rd trimester, I've started to think of all the the things I would like to accomplish before the baby arrives.  For the longest time I'v wanted to become  Yoga Certified so that one day I could teach classes or possibly run my own studio.  I'v been practicing Yoga for over 3 years now, and have decided to take it to the next level.

I started my teacher training courses and should be certified by the end of April.  April 26th to be exact, my birthday!  Thought this would be a great b-day present to myself.   I am learning how to teach Ashtanga Yoga  which utilizes Uujjay breathing through various asana's or postures.

What's nice about being pregnant and learning how to teach yoga is that I am learning all the modified poses for pregnancy.   I'm enjoying learning the modified versions so much that I thought I could possibly specialize in prenatal yoga and or mommy and me classes down the road.  I enjoy not only doing the movements but learning why each asana is important and how it benefits our body.

Today was such a beautiful day with the snow capped mountains in the background I decided to practice outside.  Have a peaceful day :)

Mommy or Daddy or Both???

Jeannette (mommy)

Michael (Daddy)

I'v been thinking a lot about the way our baby might look, feel, smell, and sound lately.  As a new mommy I have a lot of questions & fantasy's in my mind about how the whole experience of labor and infancy will be.  I asked michael's mom to send me some pic's of him so I could imagine what baby Bella might look like.  I also found some of me.  I know there is no way possible way to know but take a look, who do you think she'll look like more like, Mommy or Daddy or Both?

Date Night on Mom

Thanks to my mom Michael & I went to see the Phantom of the Opera tonight.  The tickets were a Christmas present she gave to us because she knows how important it is for us to have MANY date nights before the baby arrives.  We had a great time!  We started the night off by driving to our old stomping grounds in the Beverly Hills area to visit the sushi spot we used to go to regularly.  The waiters still remembered us and we were able to catch up with them on our lives.  Afterwards we headed to the Pantages Theatre just in time to catch the show.  The seats we had were amazing, we were right up front next to the orchestra.  Thanks mom for this special gift!  We love you!

New to the Blogging World

Hi Blogger World!

Well, I decided to go for it, that's right I will be attempting to do this thing called Blogging.

Since I am so new to blogging I would appreciate any tips from veteran's, or novice's on how to make this page pretty :)

For instance where could I find a cuter background page and upload photos to my blog title? Thank you for your help and I look forward to posting more exciting future blogs.

Blessings,

Jeannette
